I just have to throw a big WELCOME out there to you newcomers who have recently discovered my humble little Outlander series blog. "Sassynach" - ye keep commenting, Lass! We love discussion around here.
It was also brought to my attention that some of you over at the Henry Ian Cusick forum at cusick gallery.net are digging the playlist... and that is SO FRIGGIN COOL because a) I live for music tie-ins when I read and 2) could Henry Ian Cusick get any hotter? I'm thinking "NO", BROTHER! One of these days I'm going to get my casting suggestions up and he's going to be at the top of the list. My god I just drool at my TV when he's on Lost. And when I first fell for Jamie Fraser, my sister Tracey called me and played some HIC audio. Ever melted over the phone? Yeah. Me too.
So make sure you say "Hi" and comment - and don't be afraid to disagree with me if my opinions aren't jiving with yours while I read the rest of the series. I love Outlander discussion. LOVE IT! :)
Just found you by the link @ HIC group...hilarious!The most surprising thing about these books is that I always love the one I'm reading the most, I don't think I'll ever be able to pick a favorite..maybe favorite Jamie moments.Men are flawed, just because Jamie Fraser is a damn fine one, doesn't mean he won't be screwing up...I think that's all he does, he just happens to be damn good at getting himself out of trouble. One thing is for sure without each other Jamie and Claire would have been goners way back in book one.
ReplyDeleteYou'll love Drums, I am at the beginning of Fiery Cross.
Sheila
Totally agree, GalaxiGirl! As I like to say, Jamie Fraser doesn't often do dumbass guy stuff, but when he does....HOOBOY he does it royally!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Drums last night--trying to decide when to start FC. Carol wants me to wait until she's finished Drums, but not sure I can hold off that long!
Yay! I can't help but share your Outlander goodness with my HIC friends...since I originally HAD to share my excitement over discovering the books. Y'know, Lost-Desmond-Scotland-Timetravel...all roads lead to Jamie I guess. ;)
ReplyDeleteA lot of us have read/are reading the books, so I just had to share your playlist and blog with them. :)
eta: this is "Sassynach"...today Blogger doesn't like my LiveJournal username so much. :/
Sheila you are making my day. I have read 1,2 and 3 and have been fearing the best was over. I'm glad you can't decide on a favorite. I can't wait to start Drums!
ReplyDeleteSassynach - I love your Blogger name. Could "Carol" be any more boring?! I'm thinking NO!
ReplyDeleteWell Carol, "erika325" wasn't all that exciting either. "Sassynach" came to me in a rare moment of inspiration. Maybe it was Jamie speaking to me?? ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish.
Nono Sassy - Jamie doesna "speak"... he "murmurs"... melt....

ReplyDelete...and not just "murmurs"--"murmurs SOFT GAELIC."
ReplyDeleteSweet Jebus I am like Jaime Lee Curtis in A Fish Called Wanda where she wants to do Kevin Kline every time he speaks Italian to her....
Holy CRAP I've thought of that so many times!!! John Cleese was a voice in Planet 51 and I thought "wow I can't get John Cleese out of my head!" Honest to god - didn't that make him kindof sexy in A Fish Called Wanda??? One of my favorite films, thankyouverramuch. I need to see it again. "What is your name??" "I am Mr. Manfrenjensenjen". Friggin hilarity at its finest.
