OK backtracking a little...I have a burning question: Can someone remind me what happened in Voyager in the cave as far as IAN goes? Shouldn't he have questions about what Geillis was trying to do... and why Claire almost disappeared in front of his face??
ALSO - another complete tangent - not sure if I've mentioned this but it's come up with three people over the course of the last 24 hours: Clearly they CAN change the future if Jamie's grave was in Scotland - but Roger's got a record of Jamie and Claire dying in a fire in North Carolina. (Let's hope they don't burn up because of an explosion in the privy, due to Jamie trying to kill yon rattlesnake.)
I *think* Geillis was trying to time travel and use Ian as a sacrifice?? It's been awhile since I read it, but he was the "blood" I think.
ReplyDeleteKeep reading re: Jamie Jr./William. :)
And your other tangent: Keep reading!! I love reading your theories though. ;)
Sassy is right--Geillis needed Ian as a sacrifice to get back to 1968. And I don't think Claire "disappeared" at this portal--she did in the circle in Scotland with Jamie, but I don't think she actually "went" in the one with Geillis--though she did feel the "pull" that she, Roger, and Bree felt back in Scotland when they saw Geillis go back in time.
ReplyDeleteOh...and have I told you lately that I LOVE JOHN GREY????
Nonono - I get what Geillis was trying to do with Ian - what does Ian think was going on with all that? He doesn't know about Claire... but he must wonder what they were doing?
ReplyDeleteHe never really asked, did he? I think it's a combination of Ian being young, and the youngest of like 700 kids (knows to just accept stuff without questioning), and just plain sensory overload. Stuff just kinda rolls off his back. And maybe he's asked Jamie about it and we just dinna know...
ReplyDeleteAnd...Ian did get his virginity taken from him by the wench herself, so he was probably still in shock?!? Poor wee Ian.
ReplyDeleteI love John Grey too...particularly after the end of Drums of Autumn. :)
Ah, but Sassy lass, you're forgetting about the second Mary down 'round Madame Jeanne's brothel--I believe she's the proud possessor of Young Ian's wee cherry, is she no?
ReplyDeleteAnd as for John Grey, I told Carol that she has not seen the last of that fine fellow. LOL I wish there was a way to white out the comments so I could write stuff just to Sassy! ;-)
You're on shaky ground, Tracey. Shaky ground. ;) How I've made it to book 4 without finding out how the series ends is beyond me. Oh and Sassy I have another theory for you... about to post it now.
ReplyDeleteOch Tracy. Yer right, lassie. My wee noggin forgot about Mary at yon brothel.
ReplyDeleteYou can always email me, lol! I've been off the internet for too long, but am back now. I did see that Carol has finished Drums though, right?? And love John now too??
Oh yes we are ALL loving Lord John! I am so reading those books after I finish this series....
ReplyDeleteYes - Lord John won my affections when he made it known that he - had he been born in current day - would most likely be a huge fan of Cher or perhaps Lady GaGa. :)
ReplyDeleteCarol - where in the world did you get that bit about Lord John being a fan of Cher or Lady GaGa if he were born in current day????? Is that actually in one of the (more recently written) books??????
ReplyDeleteJulia, Lord John is GAY!!! Don't you have any gay male friends?
