So I was searching for old-fashioned fonts and stumbled upon the
Everything Anna blog. She gives a suggestion for a good Jamie Fraser: Max Martini. Wow, I'm impressed. I've never even heard of this guy! Verra red and a long, straight nose. And red stubble! I think I dig him. I'm still on board with Philip Winchester (until they find the right Scot lurking at a casting call in Edinburgh or Glasgow...) but this guy is not too shabby!
Holy Crow, Carol! He is a GOOD one!!! Oh my!! His eyes and nose are SOOO Jaimie!!! He would be yummy with long hair too.
ReplyDeleteVerra Nice Sassenach!! He could definatly be Jamie
ReplyDeleteHe is very Jamie looking. Very blue eyes and the nose is perfect.
ReplyDeleteYeah Ladies - I tend to agree. I can't find any long-haired pictures of him though. I'll keep looking.
ReplyDeleteWow - one fine looking guy! He's certainly made my shortlist!
ReplyDeleteApologies if the name has come up before but has anyone mentioned Kevin Mckidd? As the surname suggests he is Scottish, has the right colouring and my god has the best Higland 'burr' I've heard in a long time! - He might not be to everyones taste but if you want to sneak a peak he can be found on you tube under 'gunpowder treason and plot kevin mckidd' - (Great film by the way) Enjoy!

Hey, I've been hearing about another Jamie possibility. His name is Andy Whitfield and he's in the new Spartacus series. Looks good :)
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth :)
It's not letting me post a link here--you'll have to do a search.
As much as I love Max I just came here to mention Andy Whitfield! :) I guess i am not the only one who thought of Jamie when looking at him. LOL! check him out on www.imdb.com
ReplyDeleteWatched Spartacus the other night and YES - Andy Whitfield - my god - he's got CAT EYES!!! He's beautiful and would make a verra good Jamie. God - get him off that awful show. They must have spent so much money on Spartacus and it's god-awful. They tried to be different with the stop-action and blood spatters but it just looks strange and overdone. And don't get me started on the gratuitous sex scenes...or bad acting from some of the women. Ugh. As a Gladiator fan - and a HUGE "ROME" fan, I was looking so forward to it...
ReplyDeleteOK I'll stop complaining now. I'll post about Andy next. :)
Check out the MyOutlanderPurg Twitter feed--I retweeted a fabulous faux Jamie and Claire picture from Spartacus --you MUST check it out. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteHi! I just discovered your blog. Er...I was googling "Jamie Fraser." Oh the shame... Anyhoo, this "Max Martini" picture you've found shows the best candidate I've seen so far for Jamie Fraser! I guess he'd have to play the older Jamie though, because I think he was born in 1969? Still--fantastic picture!
ReplyDeletep.s. Please let Matthew Mc never play Jamie!
