Just have to give a shout out to our friends over at the
Outlander Book Club. They rock. You must go check out their site. They have forum discussions about every single Outlander series book. And the BEST part is that they list each book separately, so if you're like me and you're still in the midst of the series, you can go to whatever book discussions you want without worrying about spoilers. AWESOME. And I just have to say that their banner with the stones is so cool I don't know what to do with myself.
Just found your blog and love it, especially the recaps. A drawback, tho, is laughing while eating lunch and trying not to choke or snort my beverage out my nose. Got a funny look from co-workers.
ReplyDeleteI've read all the books and have started a reread. For Fiery Cross, I listened to it on CD, unfortunately the abridged version, so I really appreciate your recaps. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Terry! My cousin - Jenn D. - stops by sometimes and she's a big one for choking and snorting at her desk at the office, too.
ReplyDeleteI listened to a sample of one of the audio books and it was neat to listen to it - but it killed me that Jamie's lines weren't spoken with a Scottish accent. Jamie must sound Scottish or it doesna work for me! ;)
Terry, its nice to know I'm not alone. My office mates think I'm crazy and no longer fit for public consumption. ;)
ReplyDeleteOMG I canna even describe the awesomeness of this link. In 15 minutes of reading I've already discovered the answer to a question I wasna sure of WITHOUT being spoiled. EXCELLENT job, Outlander Book Club!
ReplyDeleteOh Carol--you must not have listened to the Davina Porter narrated audio books--they are amazing and have great accents. I love Jamie's voice--you totally forget that they're being read by a woman.
ReplyDeleteAHHHHH!!! REALLY???? Squeeee! Thanks Amy! I'll go have a listen over at Amazon if they'll let me!
ReplyDeleteBTW, another good book club site I like is the Kindle message board--they have a whole Outlander series area, where groups read the books and someone writes discussion questions that people answer after they finish each section. It's really helped me when I've had questions about stuff. Here's the link: http://www.kindleboards.com/index.php?board=36.0
ReplyDeleteI should definitely go there because they might know what damn PAGE I'm on on this Kindle!! LOL
