SPOILER ALERT: Dinna read unless you have read VOYAGER.
I have to throw a supermassive THANK YOU out to my cousin, Jenn D. for giving me one of the greatest gifts I have ever received in my life.
Remember my post about the Outlander bracelet, made by MaryFaithPeace over at Etsy? Well my cousin Jennifer promptly ORDERED ONE for me - and I love her to pieces for it.
The bracelet has the most beautiful charms - all having to do with the Outlander series in one way or another. In the photo I took (of my own left wrist... which was none-too-easy!) you can see a strawberry... a whiskey cask... a wine glass... a dragonfly... a snake... and a syringe, like the one Claire used to stick Jamie in the rear when he was dying of infection after Leghair shot him. Can you believe it? It's STUNNING!!! I can't tell you how much I love wearing it. Get one for yourself!
Oh man! That's awesome.
ReplyDelete*sighs* I wish Jenn was my cousin.... That gorgeous :)
ReplyDelete:) I'm so happy you like it!! I have to give a shout out to MaryFaithPeace who was my co-conspiritor and an excellent gift wrapper!
ReplyDeleteI had a really great time this weekend and can't wait to do it again! XOXO Jenn D
Lassies - Jenn rocks. Jenn - you ain't KIDDING - that wrapping was stunning. I saved EVERYTHING! Again - I can't thank you ENOUGH!!!
ReplyDeletePS - Tina - sigh - your avatar is dreamy. :)
I have one, too! I ordered it the morning you posted about it. I just love it, just don't wear it shopping like I did, because it catches on everything! I really like that when it's worn it's just a great piece of jewelry but has lots of hidden meaning for Outlander fans.
ReplyDeleteI was very impressed with MaryFaithPeace. She was prompt and professional and the wrapping was so cute I've kept it.
Enjoy your bracelet!
Mine is in the mail! I bought one for my sister as well. Can't wait. It looks gorgeous on you!
ReplyDeleteTheresa
It looks to be sold out!!!!! It won't let me click on "add to cart" :-(
ReplyDeleteDiane in GA
Thanks Christina! You too! I love it! You are right about it catching. I went out the other night to a patio bar... and they had those tables with the holes in them? YIKES. The bracelet kept getting stuck in the holes! Lost a charm but luckily Jenn D helped me find it.
ReplyDelete2010 Bloggers - You will love it. Seriously. It's STUNNING! Enjoy!
Anonymous - I think I linked to a sold-out page actually - because I wanted to show the description. Surf around MaryFaithPeace's site a bit more. If you don't find it, email her. I think she might take orders. :)
It's beautiful- I love it!!! My birthday is coming up in Sept so I may have to show this to hubby! :)
ReplyDeleteCarol - on another note (I wasn't sure how to send you an email directly) but go to Compuserve site and check out the thread titled Outlander song cycle. Diana just posted an excerpt from a song that a writer & composer created specifically for the book. Apparently there is going to be a whole CD soon and Diana saidvit is ok to post it on any Outlander blogs so I thought I would tell you. The song clip is awesome though and I think you'll love it. It totally gave me chills!!
HI Brandy - thanks for reminding me! I actually heard it last night after chat - but I want to blog about it. Isn't it beautiful? I posted on Compuserve that I had tears streaming down my face when I heard it. I can't wait for the whole CD!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you heard it! I must have missed your post on that thread.
ReplyDeleteThis couldn't have gone to a more deserving person than you, Carol! My only wish was that I could've seen your reaction with Jen, who deserves the COUSIN OF THE YEAR award - truly!
ReplyDeleteChunky charm bracelets and "holey furniture": not a good combination. Give me a holler if you need replacement charms. And yes, the wrapping IS part of the surprise!
My apologies to everyone as I am unable to re-list the bracelet at the moment because I am still waiting for supplies. If you are not under a time deadline, I suggest you get on the wait list, to reserve one. This guarantees one which will be specially listed in the store just for you (so no one else can get it).
Thank you again for your kind words regarding the Outlander Celtic Link Charm Bracelet - my homage to DG, who literally inspired everything!
Back to the workshop, listening to Davina and now to just released Outlander-themed music,
MaryFaithPeace
Hi maryfaithpeace--to get on the waiting list, should we just email you? I was literally salivating over Carol's bracelet this weekend and can't wait to get my own!!
ReplyDeleteMaryfaithpeace - Can I ask how much they are? I went to your site and couldn't seem to find the price! Thx!
ReplyDeleteTo get on the wait list for the Outlander Celtic Link Charm Bracelet ($60), you must register/sign in to Etsy and send me a convo/e-mail. I will prioritize these requests and create a reserved listing just for you (so no one else can get it). From the looks of it, my supplies (when they finally get here) will just about cover everyone currently on the list. I thank you all again for your heartfelt praise and support!
ReplyDeleteCarol - Just wanted to share my excitment with you. I got my bracelet on Wednesday! So beautiful. I purchased one for my sister and just gave it to her today (for her 30th Birthday! We were out to lunch at a local restaurant and had a women lean over and comment on how much she loved our bracelets! My sister told her that they were charms based on a fantastic series of books. She then proceeded to show her our rings! (Yes, we always wear matching jewlery! LOL) Hopefully we have recruited a new reader to the series. Always working to further the cause.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Theresa
YEYYYY THERESA!!! I'm so glad for you guys! Isn't it so gorgeous?!? I love wearing it. People always comment on it, too. Wear it in good health! :)
