Um...huh?

Can someone please confirm these statements supposedly made by Diana Gabaldon...meaning when and where she made them? Um, I could see her saying this...in 1995. Ewan McGregor?? Wouldn't she think he's way too old? I'm confused.

    I just saw this article and had a major squee moment! Personally, I think Ewan McGregor is the SEXIEST THING THAT HAS EVER LIVED, however, I do see some complications with him playing a 6'4" (?) twenty-something...but a girl can dream, aye?

    Thanks for the link! I'll put this up on Compuserve and see if DG responds. But please remember that she always says she has little to no influence over movie casting.

    I do know that DG has said repeatedly that she thinks Gerard Butler is too old to play a 22-year-old virgin. And I agree with that. (I have no opinion on Ewan McGregor.)

    P.S. Reading the article closely, I noticed some really odd references to events in the future that have already happened (like the MacKenzie Clan Gathering, which took place in Scotland in August, 2010) as though the article was supposed to be published in early 2010. I would take anything in this piece with a tablespoonful of salt, OK? :-)

    Hmmm, verra interesting. Personally, I've pictured Ewan McGregor as Lord John Grey, as opposed to Jamie. (Or possibly even Ian Sr.?) I'm eager to see what DG has to say about it, once Karen passes it to her on CS!
