So funny! And Tracey, I'm not quite done with Discovery of Witches, but its charm is fading fast. It started out so well (Bodlean! Matthew Clairmount! tension!), and then it just....didn't. I can't wait to read the last few posts on the Discovery blog.
Jo, I agree - I definitely liked the beginning more than the last few chapters. But I loved the way it ended in that it's pretty much setting up Book 2...which means I think I'm going to enjoy Book 2. :)
I'm currently listening to it, and I'm somewhere in chapter 40. I was hoping to really love it since my good friend (and Outlander mentee) really likes it. Oh well, you can't win them all!
Thanks for the plug for Outlandish Observations! I appreciate that very much.
And I can't believe you talked about the "rippin' ribbon" bookmark. LOL! Well, we all have our Most Embarrassing Outlander Moments. (Yes, I have a few, but not within the last couple of years, thank God!)
And I loved hearing the story about Doug again. Was I jealous that Diana left me minding the forum while she and Doug went off to NYC to have dinner with y'all? Yeah. As a matter of fact, I was. :-) I would have loved to be there too.
BTW, I think if you get a chance to go to a Scottish festival or Highland Games, you should definitely go! You'll have a blast. :-)
A rippin' funny video! I went to a local Highland Games and really liked it even though there were no Frasers. Don't try to bring home shortbread in summer heat unless you like soggy crumbs. Just sayin'. I will read the next Discovery of Witches, but I have no problem waiting for it, not like Book 8.
I now have "Outlander" in paperback, audiobook, kindle and special edition with the rippin', ribbon marker. A little excessive, don't you think? Also, I LEAVE FOR SCOTLAND IN 7 WEEKS!
Love seeing you two again. Great video! lol, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is my lastest crush. Yes, he's the brother. There are some videos of him with other Game of Throne actors, including the Jason M guy, from last week's Comic Con. He's such a cutie. IMDb says he's 6' 2½"
In a pod cast last week, the Game of Thrones author, Martin, talked about what happens with book optioning. Later I read that HBO would run GoTs as long as Martin kept writing books. This got me wondering about what will happen with the Outlander series. I wish HBO would pick it up and we could enjoy like 5 to 10 years of it. But I'm just dreaming :)
Great video as always lassies!! Squeee - it was me who twittered Nikolaj! I can't stop looking at those pics of him at comic-con - LOVE HIM! I agree though, he does change his looks, haven't seen Game of Thrones, just started reading the books and am hooked! Looking forward to what you have in store with your website!!! Keeps me going until Book 8 comes out....
OK - so I didn't know you and Tracy watch True Blood.....I hate to do this to you...really I do...but could you PLEASE make a True Blood Purgatory???? Would love to hear your thoughts on each episode as they are aired. (sorry...I know you need the pressure of another purgatory like a hole in the head....)
