So my 8 year old son (Wee Ian) is in the Cub Scouts, and served at the pack's annual spaghetti dinner tonight. And as I was sitting next to him after the dinner, I looked at his shirt and realized it was cause for a blog post.
"Why", you ask? Three reasons:
1) MOBY.
2) This awesome post on DG's blog.
3) The patch on Wee Ian's left shirtsleeve:
There are times...like now...when I'm so full of wanting for MOBY that I scarcely know what to do with myself, sassenachs. I miss the heck outta being immersed in Gabaldonville...I really do.
JE SUIS PREST!!!!!!!
Right there with ya, Babe
ReplyDeleteNICE!
DeleteDouble that!!!
ReplyDeleteDouble NICE!
DeleteI seem to be of late, mentally trying to move this year forward as quickly as I can. I am very much a "take it one day at a time" person but I have been waking in the mornings thinking we are far into the year. For example, this morning I woke feeling a wee bit panicked as I felt I really needed to get ready for Christmas, it was only a few weeks away! Then the fog lifted and I was like shit, it's only March, so far to go to MOBY.....HUGE SIGH. This wait is killing me and severely messing with my head and sleep.
ReplyDeleteLove the blog Carol, you are a star. I am hoping for a video from Fairfax, please.

Oooh Mary...girlllllll....you are SO going to get video from Fairfax. Probably to the point where you are going to say "sheesh - enough already!"
DeleteI am with you - in some ways I want time to stand still - and in other (ahem, MOBY) I do not!
Thanks for your awesome comment. Come hang with us in chat on Monday nights at 9PM Eastern. :)
Now that's cool! I think we should do a Battle of Monmouth field trip!!

Susan- the weather here in the whole of the UK has been dreadful, it's been the coldest march on record for a very long time.
