I had one friend watch it without reading the books, she said.... No, really... "I thought it was kind of boring"
At this point I had to step away from the computer, and collect myself. Eight years of waiting and you tell me the pure elation I experienced was "Boring"? I hate to quote Mean Girls as anything in comparison to Episode 1: "Sassenach" (still drooling) but, "Boo! You whore!"
Luckily I did step away and made a kind rebuttal, although it was extremely difficult.
Just watched with hubby. AWESOME! I did force myself to go grocery shopping, and clean while hubby did yard work before watching. Otherwise, let's face it, nothing would have gotten done today! Hubby has not read the books, but really enjoyed the episode.
Ok, I have to ask about this. Friday night I had several web sites open on my computer, and had just started a message to someone on another site, when suddenly my computer started playing the opening theme for the TV show! After frantically checking all the tabs to find out why this was happening, I checked your site. It all still looked the same - even your post with the theme song - but when I refreshed the site, the music stopped. It had started at 11:01pm.. When I checked Starz (I had not brought up that site yet), sure enough, the episode was available. Did you put an Outlander alarm on your site?? It was SO weird!!
I watched the episode with a friend who will not attempt to read the books. She was very intrigued with the storyline and was asking questions (of course, she trying to put puzzle pieces together way too early), but that's what is so exciting about someone watching it with fresh eyes. She has no idea what ride she has in store for her! She definitely will be getting Starz to continue wirh the show.
I have already watched this two times.. Addict much? I won't spoil anything for anyone who's not seen it yet, But OH M GEE!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG THREE! LOL I hear ya!! :)

I am so happy to hear this, Jeni. I've been wondering if people who haven't read the books will like it. Crossing fingers!! :)
