ReplyDeleteOooh thanks! :)
DeleteHave you watched Lucifer on Netflix? If not you are missing out! It’s the story of the devil who has gotten tired of hell and decides to take a vacation on earth. Eventually he teams up with an LAPD detective and the results are hysterical. And Tom Ellis who plays Lucifer is gorgeous !!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've seen it but I haven't tried it yet!
DeleteHi Gals! Great to see you & hear how you're doing. I made some notes on the shows you commented on.
ReplyDeleteThe Undoing...
Based on the novel You Should Have Known, by Jean Hanff Korelitz. I read it & it's better than the book. More exploration of Grace Fraser and how she moves forward.
Lily Rabe plays Grace's friend. She's the daughter of David Rabe, the playwright, & Jill Clayburgh, the late actress known best for the movie "An Unmarried Woman."
The Crown ...
Diana's grandmother is played by the receptionist in "Call the Midwife." Georgie Glen.
By the way, did you see our Mrs. Fitz in Ep. 10 of S4 of The Crown? She played an American doctor in the AIDS ward of the hospital Diana visits.
The Spanish Princess ...
Based on 2 novels by Philippa Gregory: The Constant Princess, and The King's Curse. I read & enjoyed both.
The Queen's Gambit...
The novel is by Walter Tevis and was very good. Three of his six novels were adapted into films: The Hustler, The Color of Money, and The Man Who Fell to Earth.
Stay well. Hope to see you both before too long.
Love it! Thanks for the intel!! :)
DeleteWow! Thanks Lori, good to know! I didn't notice Mrs Fitz; I'll have to go back and watch again! Not sure how I could miss her!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a great show as usual girls! Now, did anyone watch Emily in Paris on Netflix? I watched it four times! 10 half hour episodes of, just what I needed during this lockdown! Emily is outstanding and I love her clothes. Worth it if you want to escape from television flooded with Covid!
ReplyDeleteMy friend Jane keeps telling me to watch this!! :)
DeleteThe Last Kingdom!!!
ReplyDeleteOooh he is cute, isn't he? :)
DeleteCarol, just finished Crave and Crush! Thanks for the suggestion, soooo good! Can't wait for Covet to release, cause holy moly what's Grace gonna do???
ReplyDeleteThe following comment has CRAVE AND CRUSH SPOILERS!!! BEWARE!!!
DeleteOMG wasn't it good?? I am in the minority because I love Jaxon. LOVED Crush and promptly preordered Covet...but still. Everyone wants her with Hudson but me! ðŸ˜
It was great to see you two again! I also really liked the Queen's Gambit. Anya Taylor-Joy who played the lead was also in the new Emma movie which I would recommend. I watched The English Game and also really liked it (it's on Netflix). I would also recommend the new David Copperfield movie. It's really fun and creative. Dev Patel was excellent and Peter Capaldi was so funny. I watched the Call the Midwife Christmas special which they filmed during the pandemic. They use a lot of camera tricks and angles to get around the social distancing with the acting.
ReplyDeleteHi - I just published the last post and it came up as unknown (it was actually me). :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I've done that, myself! :) PS - I just tried to comment and it bounced back! Was trying to say I'm so glad they're still filming things even during the pandemic! :)
DeleteI am currently on Season 3 of Cobra Kai! I have also watched and LOVED "Derry Girls!" I am also watching a neat docuseries on Netflix called "Surviving Death." 💜
ReplyDeleteI'm late to the party, just watched your video today. Missed your videos during droughtlander, and found several great recommendations here, thank you. And I just LOVE LOVE LOVE you guys so much! You are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteRight back atcha Colsgirl!! (Sorry, I'm late to the comments! LOL)
