MOP Video! Our Fave Shows and a Wee Christmas Giftie!

What the actual HECK?!? December? Three days before CHRISTMAS??  How is it even POSSIBLE? Well folks, a pandemic has a way of making you lose all track of time and  space, that is for sure.

So what is a pair of wacky Outlander-loving sisters to do? MAKE A  VIDEO, of course!

But wait! It gets even better! We've got a neat little offer for you from our friends at The Dipp, just in time for Christmas!

What is The Dipp, you ask? They call it a "personalized subscription website for TV’s biggest fans." Tracey and I call it a big slice of Outlander love, with a whole lotta other awesome shows mixed in!

Head on over the The Dipp and use code MOPFRIENDS to get 20% off an annual subscription! How cool is that??

But that's not all! To sweeten the pot, we've got some GIVEAWAYS for you, too!

The FIRST person to use their 20% off MOPFRIENDS discount and sign up for an annual subscription for The Dipp wins a copy of Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other, the fantastic new road-trip-across-Scotland book from Outlander's very own Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish!

And the next THREE people to use their 20% MOPFRIENDS discount will get a framed script of THEIR FAVORITE SCENE from Outlander on Starz!!

We hope you like our Christmas giveaways, y'all. Now get watchin'...because Tracey and I have a LOT to say about what WE'VE been watchin'!

  1. Please watch The A Word on Prime Video. It will make you laugh, cry and it takes place so close to Scotland, the Lake District.

  2. Have you watched Lucifer on Netflix? If not you are missing out! It’s the story of the devil who has gotten tired of hell and decides to take a vacation on earth. Eventually he teams up with an LAPD detective and the results are hysterical. And Tom Ellis who plays Lucifer is gorgeous !!!

  3. Hi Gals! Great to see you & hear how you're doing. I made some notes on the shows you commented on.
    The Undoing...
Based on the novel You Should Have Known, by Jean Hanff Korelitz. I read it & it's better than the book. More exploration of Grace Fraser and how she moves forward.
Lily Rabe plays Grace's friend. She's the daughter of David Rabe, the playwright, & Jill Clayburgh, the late actress known best for the movie "An Unmarried Woman."
    The Crown ...
Diana's grandmother is played by the receptionist in "Call the Midwife." Georgie Glen.
By the way, did you see our Mrs. Fitz in Ep. 10 of S4 of The Crown? She played an American doctor in the AIDS ward of the hospital Diana visits.
    The Spanish Princess ...
Based on 2 novels by Philippa Gregory: The Constant Princess, and The King's Curse. I read & enjoyed both.
    The Queen's Gambit...
The novel is by Walter Tevis and was very good. Three of his six novels were adapted into films: The Hustler, The Color of Money, and The Man Who Fell to Earth.
Stay well. Hope to see you both before too long.

  5. Thank you for a great show as usual girls! Now, did anyone watch Emily in Paris on Netflix? I watched it four times! 10 half hour episodes of, just what I needed during this lockdown! Emily is outstanding and I love her clothes. Worth it if you want to escape from television flooded with Covid!

  7. It was great to see you two again! I also really liked the Queen's Gambit. Anya Taylor-Joy who played the lead was also in the new Emma movie which I would recommend. I watched The English Game and also really liked it (it's on Netflix). I would also recommend the new David Copperfield movie. It's really fun and creative. Dev Patel was excellent and Peter Capaldi was so funny. I watched the Call the Midwife Christmas special which they filmed during the pandemic. They use a lot of camera tricks and angles to get around the social distancing with the acting.
